Meet Crystal

Crystal Leigh Edwards is a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist, Certified Neuromuscular Therapist and Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist serving Asheville, NC and surrounding areas. She attended the Center for Massage and Natural Health for massage training and NMT Centers in St. Petersburg, FL for advanced training in neuromuscular therapy. Crystal is certified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist through National Academy of Sports Medicine and is a Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist through Klose Training.

Crystal’s professional and educational experience have influenced her practice at Avena Bodywork, where she facilitates thoughtful, professional, client-centered experiences that are tailored to each person’s unique goals.

Crystal graduated from UNC Asheville with a B.A. in Psychology. Her education there has influenced her professional work since, as well as her approach to serving others, in business and community. She earned a Holistic Herbalist certification from Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine, and is a lifelong student of herbalism through independent study, medicine making and gardening. At Avena Bodywork, Crystal handcrafts the massage cream used in every session, as well as other herbal infusions and topical blends. Crystal’s MBA in Social Entrepreneurship inspires her approach to business at Avena Bodywork, as she works in various ways to uphold social responsibility through client experience, sustainable business practices, volunteerism and community engagement.
